The other nearest bus and tram stops are located about 300 metres from the Physicum main entrance on Kustaa Vaasan tie and Hämeentie.
Journeys along Väinö Auerin katu, Pietari Kalmin katu and Gustaf Hällströmin katu to the campus are uphill. From Kustaa Vaasan tie to the campus there is a steep sandy footpath with a handrail at the edge.
The nearest parking spaces are in front of the building along Väinö Auerin katu and Gustaf Hällströmin katu. There is no parking spaces marked as accessible.
Passenger transport to the main entrance is possible from Väinö Auerin katu. There are stairs without a ramp on the Gustaf Hällströmin katu.
On the side of Väinö Auerin katu there is a stairway to the entrance of Physicum. The walkway to the entrance is flat and wide enough. The entrance is clearly visible and illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The entrance doors are clearly visible. There is sufficient room outside the door for moving, e.g. for a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise difficult to open. The library service area is located on the same floor as this entrance.
The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated. The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with an opening button. The opening button for the accessible door is quite far away from the door, on a post. The library service area is located on the same floor as this entrance.
The main entrance parking spaces may be used for this entrance as well. The distance from the parking spaces to the entrance is under 10 m. The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
The library is on two floors. The lift is on the left as you enter the library. Textbooks and other materials to be borrowed, as well as the library's customer service point and the lending and return machines are located on the first floor.

The service point is located on the same floor as the entrance to the library. There are signage to the different spaces at the service point. There is no queuing system in the waiting area of the service point. There are no seats in the waiting area. The customers wait standing up.
The library's accessible toilet is on the 2nd floor. There is also an accessible toilet on the entrance floor in the Physicum lobby, to the left of the entrance, next to the coat racks.
Computers requiring a university user ID are located on fixed desks on the 1st floor. On the upper floor there are four electrically adjustable desks without a fixed computer.
