The Faculty of Social Sciences, or Valtsika, has several English-language master's programmes and about 200 international students from all over the world.
Our master's students study different phenomena in society. Even during their studies, students want to contribute to the development of society and offer new perspectives on how to tackle societal challenges. Despite this, many international students struggle to find opportunities to collaborate with organisations, including through writing their master’s thesis or completing a traineeship.
Organised in collaboration between Careers Services and the Faculty, the Valtsika Career Fair is a free event that will give organisations, alumni and master’s students a unique opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and discuss potential collaborations.
The Career Fair will take place on Tuesday 5 March 2024 at 15:00-18:00, at the Swedish School of Social Science (Svenska Social- och kommunalhögskolan) in Helsinki. The event will be held in English and participation is free of charge.
There are several components to the event, including a pitching session for students and organisations, an open fair for organisations and students to interact, and an Alumni Talks lecture/panel style discussion for alumni to share their career journeys with students.
Organisations and alumni can choose which parts of the programme they wish to take part in.
The full programme can be viewed below.
Registration deadline is 22.02. The link can be found below.
