Each year at the beginning of the autumn and spring terms, all new students from countries outside Finland are given the opportunity to participate in an orientation course.
The Kumpula Campus Library (Physicum building) is a learning environment that offers information services in mathematics and natural sciences to students, teachers, and researchers, as well as to everyone who is interested in science.
The collections of the library include literature in the fields of science in the Kumpula Campus. From the library you can find, for example, textbooks according to the study requirements: in astronomy, chemistry, computer science, geography, geology, mathematics, meteorology, physics, seismology, and statistics.

The Science Education Centre studies, develops and carries out multidisciplinary science education of children and young people as well as related teacher training.
The University Communications assists the press and media in matters concerning research and studying at the University of Helsinki. Images and logos are available upon request.
