The Doctoral Programme in Gender, Culture and Society is a truly multidisciplinary programme with doctoral students from disciplines as varied as Gender Studies, Sociology, Political History, Folklore Studies, Social Psychology, Musicology, Social and Cultural Anthropology, Biblical Studies, European Area and Cultural Studies, Scandinavian Literature, Development Studies, Law, Latin American Studies, Political Science, Nordic History, African Studies
6 new doctoral students are admitted each year. We're an international community, and the programme is multilingual: you can complete a degree in either Finnish, Swedish or English.
