The Faculty Council is the Faculty’s multi-member administrative body, chaired by the dean. Under the leadership of the dean, the Faculty Council develops the overall operations of the Faculty in line with the University’s operational and financial targets, the University’s strategic plan and the Faculty’s target programme.
Dean Antti Räsänen is Professor of religious education.
As head of the Faculty, the Dean oversees the Faculty’s development, the effectiveness and efficiency of Faculty operations, and the implementation of the Strategic Plan of the University of Helsinki at the Faculty.
Vice-Dean Jutta Jokiranta is Professor of Hebrew Bible and Cognate Studies.
Vice-Dean Pekka Kärkkäinen is Senior University Lecturer of Ecumenics.
Vice-Dean Auli Vähäkangas is Professor in pastoral theology
