Our general upper secondary school, a community of individuals, is a small and traditional institution that provides high-quality instruction and the opportunity to lay a solid groundwork for further studies. At our school, which stands for sustainable development, everyone has the right to be themselves.
The school’s history dates back to 1869, when it was the first Finnish-language girls’ school in Finland. In 2019, the school celebrated its 150th anniversary. While we rely on tradition, we also take an open-minded attitude to the future. Our school is esteemed both on the national and international levels, for example, through a range of visits and projects. In 2008, our sustainable development activities received a certificate that has been renewed in 2011, 2014 and 2017.
A musical production performed each year at our general upper secondary school is a very popular and spectacular event.
