The school admission area for grades 7–9 comprises the school admission areas of the Snellman and Tehtaankatu primary schools. If a pupil lives and is registered at an address in the aforementioned area all through secondary school, their local school is the Helsinki Normal Lyceum.
Pupils for the Latin class are admitted based on an aptitude test. The test is an examination in the pupil’s native language.
Pupils enroll via Wilma to both aptitude test and regular classes.
The test takes place in the assembly hall of the Helsinki Normal Lyceum (Ratakatu 6 B, 00120 Helsinki, auditorium A107) on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12.00 to 15.00. No separate invitation for the test was sent. Only the score from the aptitude test will play a role in the admission to the Latin class. Pupils who take part in the exam commit to accept their study place if they are selected to the class.
All admission decisions will be mailed to pupils' homes by the end of March.
We will accept pupils only from our school admission area for grades 8 and 9. School admission areas are displayed in Helsinki's map services: Palvelukartta (in Finnish).
