Stage

Stage is Think Corner’s main event venue, with facilities suitable for open events of approximately 100 to 150 people. Within the space is a café, with tables for around 100 people. The seating capacity in the space can easily be adjusted by adding rows of chairs.

Events held at Think Corner's Stage are divided into two-hour slots. Events can be organised from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 11.00, 13.00 to 15.00 and 17.00 to 19.00. There can be two events at Stage per weekday.

Organisers can book one slot per day. Stage is not suited to organising workshops. Events cannot be held simultaneously at Stage and the Fönster venue.

The facility rent includes

• Space and furnishings for 100–150 people
• A stage (9 x 3 m) and AV equipment
• Six microphones
• Event organisation and technical support before the event, assistance from customer service during the event
• Live recording of the event with one stationary Think Corner robotic camera and an unedited video recording. The service does not include captioning.

• Visibility for the event in the University’s events calendar (Think Corner evaluates the suitability of the event for University of Helsinki’s event calendar) and on wall projections at Stage during the event. 

   

Facility equipment

Sound

Stage is equipped with a Sennheiser SpeechLine microphone system. A total of six microphones are available for single-camera streaming. The available microphone options are:

• A wireless headset microphone
• A wireless handheld microphone (max. 4 pcs)

The truss above the stage is equipped with a pair of TWAUDiO ELLA6 speakers, while under the stage is a TWAUDiO B14 subwoofer. 

Line level audio summing is available for external streamers.

Projections

• At Stage, projections are displayed on a 10-metre-wide Samsung IE015A LED video wall.
• Two image sources can be projected side by side (aspect ratio 16:9), or the entire wall can be used to project one image source (aspect ratio 32:9).
• The end wall at the Yliopistonkatu entrance has room for a small projection.

Lighting

• In addition to the lighting on the stage itself, mood lighting is available in the space. The colour tone of the lights in the space can be adjusted according to theme.

Streaming

• The service includes live streaming with a single camera. The stream and recordings can be viewed on the Think Corner website.

Additional services subject to a fee

• Multi-camera streaming with six robotic cameras and all microphones (a total of 12 microphones, of which eight are headset microphones and four handheld microphones)
• Supported remote connection
• Live captioning
• Musical performance

Catering

Tiedekulma Cafe offers a wide selection of food and drink for a range of events. Nourishing breakfasts and lunches, refreshing snacks, finger food and drinks – we have it all. As the Think Corner event facilities are fully licensed, it is forbidden to bring your own alcoholic beverages.

Enquiries on the suitability and availability of Stage must be made no less than four weeks before the desired event date.
