Alumni Day

The Alumni Day is the most important event of the year for University of Helsinki alumni. The Alumni Day brings together the top scientific minds and alumni of the University of Helsinki for an inspiring discussion and a chance to work together. In addition to cutting-edge content, there will be relaxed socialising with other alumni.
Alumni Day 2024: Skills for (working) life

This year, Alumni Day included a morning and an evening session. The shared purpose of both was to offer insights and the chance to learn skills in relation to the current topics and phenomena of (working) life.

Morning session: Helsinki Alumni x MiB - Perspectives on a family-friendly working life

Place: Think Corner, Yliopistonkatu 4 ja livestream

During the morning session, we heard about combining work and family, career courage, multicultural working life and the Finnish family leave reform.

  • Olivia Kuusinen: Vanhempien urarohkeus (in Finnish)
  • Jenny Söderman: Perhevapaauudistus ja sen vaikutukset työelämän tasa-arvoon (in Finnish)
  • Chelsea Henry: Work, family and multicultural working life (in English, starting at around 9.45)
