On university campuses, the library is a central working and living space for students. In addition to study spaces, the library is also the venue for many student events. On the opening day of the university semester, Kaisa House becomes the stage for the Student Union's Opening Carnival. The Fresher Adventure in the autumn semester and the Tutor Adventure in the spring also bring colourful groups of students to the library.

The series of
The Learning Centre Aleksandria was closed on Midsummer 2024 for about a year for renovation work. During the renovation, the learning centre's facilities will be updated to reflect changing teaching and learning methods. For example, students will need a new type of space to participate in online lectures. More group work space will also be built. The Learning Centre Alexandria has been offering learning spaces in the evenings, so Kaisa House will have extended opening hours in 2024. The main library has been open until 22:00 on weekdays and more Sundays than before.
