The research focuses primarily on teaching, learning and the attitudes that guide them, wellbeing and, more generally, education systems as well as their development, including the organisation and management of education. The results of projects, which are carried out primarily with external funding, are reported in a number of ways (e.g., a publication series of the Centre for Educational Assessment), with refereed research reports as a key publication channel. Our research has societal impact through proposals and recommendations for the development of Finnish education, learning and skills. The Centre for Educational Assessment at the University of Helsinki has strong methodological expertise and knowledge in designing and establishing various assessment environments (e.g., log data analyses and adaptive assessment environments).
