Specialisation in a master’s programme is based on a personal study plan and, in most master’s programmes, the selection of a specific study track. Study tracks are more specific disciplines within individual master’s programmes. Compulsory studies provide you with a good foundation for expertise in the field of your degree. Optional studies advance your special expertise, and your master’s thesis employs your skills in solving actual research questions under the supervision of an experienced researcher.
In our multilingual master's programmes, English is the language of instruction, but the language of the degree can be Finnish, Swedish or English. In the multilingual programmes, you select the language of your degree and demonstrate your language skills in that language when applying to the programme.
