Cooperation

Alumni play a key role in the Faculty’s partner activities, both as individuals and through the organisations they represent.

The Faculty of Arts provides teaching based on scholarly research. Each year, hundreds of Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral graduates go on to share their knowledge with various sectors of society through their work as experts, decision-makers, teachers, developers and researchers.  Graduates with a strong humanities education are needed in the job market, both in Finland and elsewhere.

The internationally acclaimed research carried out at the Faculty places it among the top one per cent of arts faculties in the world. The members of the Faculty’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) – all leading international researchers – visit Helsinki each year and contribute new perspectives from around the world to Finnish humanities research. They also provide valuable feedback on how the research conducted in Helsinki appears to outside observers.

The Faculty is an active social force and a sought-after partner open for mutually beneficial cooperation. Alumni play a key role in the Faculty’s partner activities, both as individuals and through the organisations they represent. The Faculty’s doors are always open to its graduates. The Faculty of Arts embraces its traditions and contributes to the construction of our modern society, while looking ahead to the future.
