The aim of DPBM is to train internationally competent experts with excellent skills to continue research or work in other demanding expert positions of the public or private sectors.
Doctoral candidates have the opportunity to participate in an excellent research-training program including basic and advanced courses in biomedical research offered locally, nationally and internationally. The course offerings include an extensive variety of practical training courses, seminar series and scientific symposia. Doctoral candidates also participate in courses in areas including transferable skills.
The DPBM student council aims to create a supportive community for doctoral students.
We organize events sponsored by the DPBM board throughout the year where graduate students can interact with each other, talk about their research, and find support and friendships. Some activities and events include get-together parties, excursions, Kayaking and SUP event, symposiums, etc. We aim to help DPBM students have a light-hearted, fun experience outside the lab and integrate into the university research community.
If you want to know more about the student council's activities or are interested in becoming a member of the Student Council and helping organize events, don't hesitate to get in touch with current members. You get up to 2 credits for participation and planning the Student Council events.
